Teachers and Librarians - Win a Tashi library for your school!
To celebrate the publication of Tashi and the Phoenix, plus the launch of our brand new Tashi website, we're giving you the chance to win one of 3 complete sets of Tashi books for your library or classroom.
We love feedback from teachers and librarians, so to enter, email us at childrensmarketing@allenandunwin.com and tell us in 50 words or fewer why you like recommending Tashi books to the students at your school. Please include your name, school name and daytime phone number in your email.
Entries close 15th July 2008.
Entry is open to teachers and librarians currently employed in schools and public libraries in Australia and New Zealand.
Terms and Conditions
- Information on how to enter & prizes form part of these terms & conditions. Any entry not complying with these terms and conditions is invalid.
- Entry is open to teachers and librarians who are employed in schools in Australia and New Zealand at the time of entering. Employees of Allen & Unwin and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
- To enter, send an email to childrensmarketing@allenandunwin.com describing in 50 words or fewer why you like recommending Tashi books to the students at your school, and include your name, school name and your daytime phone number.
- Entry is open to one per person. Where more than one entry is received from the same email address, only the first received entry will be eligible.
- The Promotion commences 1st July 2008 and finishes 15th July 2008 (“Promotion Period”).
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process
- The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical problems.
- Prizes will be awarded to the three entries judged by Allen & Unwin to be the most creative.
- The three winning entries will each receive a library of 16 Tashi books. Each library contains one copy of: Tashi, Tashi and the Giants, Tashi and the Ghosts, Tashi and the Genie, Tashi and the Baba Yaga, Tashi and the Demons, Tashi and the Big Stinker, Tashi and the Dancing Shoes, Tashi and the Haunted House, Tashi and the Royal Tomb, Tashi Lost in the City, Tashi and the Forbidden Room, Tashi and the Stolen Bus, Tashi and the Mixed-Up Monster, Tashi and the Phoenix and There Once was a Boy Called Tashi (paperback edition). The value of each prize is AU$194.20.
- Entries will be judged by 25th July 2008. Winners will be notified by email and telephone.
- Total prize pool is valued at $582.60.
- Prizes are not transferable & cannot be taken as cash, unless otherwise stipulated.
- Prize values are correct at 30th May 2008 but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prize.
- The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss, or for personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
- All entries become the property of the Promoter. All details will be held in accordance with the Allen & Unwin Privacy Policy which can be accessed by visiting www.allenandunwin.com
- The contest will be judged by the promoter with the decision final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
- The winner should look to the manufacturer of products awarded as prizes for all warranties. However, these terms and conditions do not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision (including a provision of the Trade Practices Act 1974) where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of these terms and conditions to be void.
- The winner agrees to the use of their name, school name and the content of their entry for publicity and promotional purposes, without compensation.
- Prizes will only be delivered in Australia or New Zealand and winners should allow 28 days from prize draw for delivery of their prize.
